I'm a New York City based photographer specializing in portraits, headshots and events creating fresh, authentic, storytelling images for corporate clients, businesses and personal branding.  With an eye for relationships and community, I bring a unique sensibility to my work.

My grandmother was one of my earliest influences.  She was an artist who taught me about aesthetic and creative process at a young age.  Born on 11-11-11, she continues to inspire me.

After earning degrees in sociology and criminal justice, I spent ten years as a federal probation officer.  Empowered by an overwhelming sense that I needed to turn a lifelong passion into a career, I journeyed into the world of professional photography and never looked back.  Photography has provided me with an avenue for creative storytelling and a powerful tool for capturing emotion.

When I’m not behind the camera, I'm usually on a travel adventure.  Some highlights include trekking through the Nepalese Himalayas, hang gliding in Rio, and hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.  I can also be found in the yoga studio, practicing Kung fu, and never missing an opportunity to challenge the status quo!

I also co-own a media company with my brilliant husband and partner, Josh.

Activism:  As a visible LGBTQ ally and activist, my series-based work focuses on human rights and social justice.  Visit the FAMILY link for information about my ongoing portrait series featuring LGBTQ families.
